Welcome to Miami!

AJ and I had a great time once we actually got to Miami. When we arrived at the Atlanta airport, we couldn't print our boarding passes.  After speaking with several people, it was determined that AJ was on the "No Fly" terrorist watch list.  Oh brother.  Only one person at Delta knew how to complete the TSA paperwork to clear AJ as a terrorist.

We stayed at the beautiful Fountainebleau Resort.  Things got better once we checked in.  Our room ended up being on the penthouse floor.  Yea.

The second day...  When I was visiting some AU alumni, AJ had to evacuate the hotel.  There was an alarm and he was told it was either a bomb threat or a fire.  He had to run down 15 floors.  It ended up being a small fire, thank goodness.

We had fun eating at South Beach.  Our AU event went great.  AJ was stationed in the hotel lobby and directing the Auburn people to our reception.  (He had on an Auburn shirt.)  Then, everyone thought he knew where ALL school receptions were - Arkansas, Kansas State, Ohio State, etc.

We also visited Gulf Stream horse track.  They weren't in racing season so we snuck out to the track and the winner's circle.

Film Premiere and Dallas Arts District Tour

We had the Dallas film premiere of "Citizen Architect" on May 26 at the Magnolia Theatre. The film will air on PBS in August. We had over 300 people in attendance.

The following day we took a tour of the Dallas Arts District - the Wyly Theatre and the new Opera House.
